Immersion training for Oracle Projects
IT Convergence offers Private Training Classes with a variety of choices for location, type, database environment and curriculum. This allows you to determine how customized the training must be to fit your needs.
Audiences
Executives: Training is usually focused on high-level overviews that focus on integration between the applications. Duration is typically 2 - 4 hours in length.
Functional Managers: Integration training focusing on upstream and downstream integration points and key functionality of each application.
Project Team Members: Usually the most detailed training. Training provides team members with knowledge of each application as well as integration between the applications. Functional area personnel often sit in at specific points during the training.
IT Staff: IT personnel supporting the applications need high-level knowledge of the applications as well as technical support information.
Bootcamp Advantages
Listed below are several of the advantages of the bootcamp approach:
- Training is highly focused, intensive, "immersion" training.
- Course content focuses on providing critical knowledge and skills required by your Project Team.
- Training focuses on the rapid and effective acquisition of capability around applications in the solution.
- Curriculum is tailored to the unique learning and skills needs of the Project Team.

- Learning content is tailored to the implementation environment, making the learning experience more meaningful.
Bootcamp Components
Executive and Functional Managers Overview
The Executive Overview will assist the executive group in understanding the depth and breadth of the Oracle Applications being implemented. The outcome of the training should be an understanding of how these applications integrate together. The Functional Managers Overview focuses on understanding the relationship between the applications. Training is focused on the integration of the applications and the upstream/downstream interactions that the managers will be responsible for.
Project Team Jump Start
Project Team Jump Start is designed to help the project team members understand their individual roles and learn to work together as a cohesive unit. Training schedules for project team members and secondary audiences are laid out at this time.
Navigation Training
Navigation Training is the prerequisite to all future feature/function training. It teaches basic system operation; logging on to the system, use of menus, top ten list, menu bar and tool bar functionality. This course is required for anyone who will eventually attend a Bootcamp session.
Common Essentials
Common Essentials explore the functionality and integration between the common technical applications. Common technical topics include: System Administration, Alerts, Flexfields, and Workflow.
Application Components
Based on your organizations' specific requirements, IT Convergence will customize the Bootcamp to cover only the needed topics and order them so that the team's time is maximized. This approach minimizes the time that the team spends away from their jobs and increases the application of knowledge to the organization's unique environment.
Migration Components
Migration components are used by those companies currently upgrading or migrating to a newer release level. Migration training includes targets unused, and new functionality is taught, pursued by the customer, in the course of their upgrade.
Technical Components
Technical components may include topics related to 9i, SQL, 9iAS, Discoverer, Forms, Reports, and other technical topics required to support the program.
Immersion Bootcamps permit our instructors to focus strictly on your business, providing examples and solutions closer to your surroundings, thereby giving your users information that can be applied directly to their Oracle implementations.
